Lilac the Beautiful Flower

Lilac the beautiful flower and aw the fragrance they give. This year in Indiana, spring has been very strange.

In March the temperature got to 89 degrees Fahrenheit, it forced all the spring flowers to bloom early.

Then the bottom dropped out plummeting the temperatures down below freezing.
Our dark purple lilac bush looks better than the lighter purple bushes, however, the neighbors bushes look fantastic.
I'm praying that with the temperatures being to a normal Indiana spring the light purple bushes will finish blooming.

  4. I know we have the same weather. The plants and flowers get confused on what is going on. Here in Michigan all my fruit trees are blossoming then all of a sudden it frost. I hope we still have fruits this year. ^_^ My Re-blooming Lilac is not blooming yet.

  5. Beautiful shots of the Lilac, love the color.
    It's one of my favorites.
Still some time before the Lilacs bloom here.
We have the same weather here and as I write now it's snowing outside. Hope my garden will survive all these changes.
